New Exit..

Here's a shot of thee new exit to Denmans, it routes you right up onto Dirty Express still just in a better location. 1/3 of Denmans is mowed, depending on weather this week I'll be back out again with the Hog mowing. Stay tuned here and on Cita's page for more info.

Center Trials 1st Tune Up this Evening

5:30pm meet at Denmans exit for a reroute. We'll also be building up the last log jam that has rotted away, with some other small stuff. I'll have the Hog out also if anyone wants too get a start on mowing. See ya tonight!

Bringing Back Some Obstacals

Sunday Teri and I started a ride together, I only made it halfway through Denmans before I was pissed off at those that just don't fucking get it. Cheater routes reopened, mother fuckers riding "AROUND" all the mud puddles, logs being moved, etc.
I bailed at the Dirty Express levey heading home for some fence posts, 10" spikes, 4lb. beater, chainsaw, and some rebar:) Just can't keep thee Squirrel down:)

what used to be a 18" tread or less has now become 4 foot plus....through the MUD FUCKERS:)

While I was out doing trail work lots of mates where out enjoying the trail before yesterday rain....I think I saw close to 15 mates in the hour and a half I was out....8 of them she'las:) Lots of rain here today....sucky:( Picked up a couple more beaters over the weekend, 2 older Puch's, one for Teri and one for me:) Photos of them later.

From the Northern end to the trestle bridge is all good, only left one log you'll have too ride, all the low hanging crap is now gone:) Thee trail was some what wet yesterday as it was raining.....thee corners are full of water as usual.....but I'm gonna ride that shit any way....quad traffic looked to be minimal too none:) How about thee Taco Ride at Targhetto on thee 3rd of October, we roll from Rassy's at 5:30 or shortly after:) Taco's can be had at Elgea Real (yes I butchered the spelling of that:) off of Beaver Ave....they serve beer and Taco Casa does not:(

Targhetto Maintenance Today....Rain or Shine:)

Rob V, Scott Sumptner, his nieghbor and I will be at thee Northern trail entrance to start clearing that biatch out:) 1pm....yea I know its early, but we'd all rather be clearing trail then working:) Speaking of maintenace....me chainsaw needed some....gotta love'm up just like thee trails and your bikes:)

that damn saw dust gets all over thee inside of yer saw, mixed with bar oil, dirt and anything else that chain comes in contact with. The air filter is most likely clogged with oil and dust also. A simple blowing out with air helps alot, remember thee air filter is off leaving the carb port exposed....plug thee port with a rag so no poo-poo gets in there:)Do what you know how too do, or take it in for service.....

Denmans is All Good:)

Went to Denmans this afternoon to clean it back up, close a couple cheater routes, move some logs back, and just cut out the fallen trees:) Damn it was warm out today:)

Cleaning Up Da Trail

Steve and I took out the rest of the trees on Standard J11 and HillSide. Just so the lovely ladies on the Chica Ride could enjoy the trails without having too bail off the bike as much:)

We found this little booger hanging out in the woods face down, so we scooped him up to move him too a better greeting location...

Trail Jester:) Thanks too whom ever cut this big ole' log, it would have taken Steve and I a while with me little 16" chainsaw.

Teri Sue went on the Chica Ride, 10 of dem buets showed up....that is awesome....in my 11 years riding around this tiny city I've never seen that many she'las on MTB's at one time:) Thanks too Sweet Jane and Kristen Reece for their efforts to bring a ladies sceen to Des Moines:) If you want some this ride will be every Friday evening at 6pm, meet at Ashworth Pool parking lot.

Riding Soo Goood:)

Saturday morning started with loading up the Trail Hog with the B.O.B., chainsaw, shovel, and a bucket with me 4lb. beater with wedge/other miscellaneous things for some trail maintenance:) Met up with Justin Bruce and Jeff Stegeman at the Denmans entrance, the plan... knock out all the dead fall/ make a new log run if it where feasible. After a couple hours we where done:) Photos and a video of me B.O.B.'n a log run can be found here, damn work computer won't let me link or watch it:(. After the maintenance run I went back home, then Teri and I met Steve at the West Port Lounge for some Bass Ale. After our beers where empty it was time to hit the trails again:) Ran into Brian Duffy boogy'n through Denmans..saw a ton of cyclists out....the Mayors Ride was going on also....photos here...just a perfect day:) After our loop was almost done we ran into Johnny C, Wade Thompson and Chad "Super Dong" Vanderlune getting ready to go tear it up. We headed out with those mates and bailed after Standard J-11...our riding was done...time too head to the mountains:) Sully's Irish Pud that is.

After me shroom'n, Teri, Izzy and I headed too Jordan Creek so some total stranger could poke holes in our daughters ears:) Izabella is one tough little she'la, barely a fuss:) Then it was time to head back too the Center Trails for some more work...as CITA was installing our trail signs today....I hung long enough to drop tools off...was raining and I wasn't prepared...thanks for all the work mates:) Todays commutte kicked ass a new personal record for me 17 mile putt-putt 1:01:00...I know I can break an hour if I would just leave home with that mission for the ride in:) Nah....then I would have to think rather then just ride along with a big smile on me face:)
