Birthday Party Weekend

Drove up too Boone on Friday afternoon, hung out with the family, swam, ate a ton of food, drank a few beers, triked around with my Uncle Mort, Izzy and Uncle Buddy. Good times for sure as I don't get to see my family all that often. Grandma turned 86, still kicken the good life. Back in town Saturday afternoon, purdy much fat and very unmotivated...so I did't go camping with Sammy and Justin like I would have liked too.

My Uncle Buddy spotted a trike at an old neighbors house that just went into a nursing home...we went up and picked it up and brought it back for inspection. Great shape..."EZ Rollen Traveler" is painted on it. Single speed sweetness. I think he really likes it...we rode around for a few miles on the trikes it was entertaining to say the least....Izzy loves riding in the basket.

On Sunday we rolled the bikes over to the brothernlaws house for Steve and Breanna's bday party. Teri pulled Izzy there and back.....heavy headwind on the way there made Teri work purdy hard....she has a greater respect for all that pull their kiddies around now:) We ate a bunch more food and cake then putted on back home. Purdy uneventful riding weekend.

Ride Home

The ride home made up for the shitty experiences on our ride in:) Don't get me wrong when I get bent all outta shape.....I'm about as much of a fighter as I am a Cat. 1 road racer. I'm much more likely too fucking freak out on someone with Izzy in tow just because well I'm pulling a child and you the driver should respect that. Its all good nobody's gotten hurt no harm done. The wind yesterday made for a good workout heading towards the dam and then home with Izzy in tow. I may just commute my ass into some sort of decent shape:) We didn't get to go across the dam, we talked too a Army Corp. worker and she seemed purdy adamant about the ROAD BEING CLOSED. So the plan of photos and a beer at thee Boat House changed to a safety break at Sycamore Access and a beer break at Picketts Pub off Merle Hay Rd.

Kyles Bikes....stopped for some air and a short bsing......shortly after we left I flatted the rear tire. Purdy good first of the for the commuter:)

Entrance too Cottonwood....Lady says road is CLOSED to ALL traffic....I really didn't want too push my luck with the Amry Corp folks....they really aren't very happy people.

Teri has wanted too try the fixie thing for awhile now so being the "GREAT" husband that I am I whooped up one. Instead of buying a wheelset I just welded the freehub body....simple....and now fixed.

Back In Action..

Good to be feeling good:) Back on the bike yesterday for an hour...road the graveler...with friction shifting....fuck that shit:) Found an old 105 shifter...now I have a 1x5 insted of 1x7...still 4 more then what I'm used too. Teri and I are thinking of riding to the CITA workday on Saturday at Summerset...if we can get Grandma to watch our little Angel we'll be doing just that. Riding home today, stopping by Kyle's Bikes again so I can take a few photos. If I'm all good I'll roll out with the Tuesday Worlds tomorrow....think I'll try and hang with the ladies...if they'll let me:)

Damn February Sucked...Or I Just Suck...Yeah, Yeah..

Wanted 50hrs in Feb....30hrs is all I did....but I did manage another month free of the trainer:) March is here.... snow is back in the forecast....rivers and creeks are preparing to crest again this weekend with the warm weather predicted. 39x14 will rule the road no longer, putting her gears back on for some fun with the big dogs this year. Thats all I have....think warm thoughts:)

Roller Out...Stepper In..

Took the rollers back to the shop....they are more interesting to ride then the stationary...but thee end result is still the same.....I'm IN DOORS AND IT BLOWS ASS! Save me monies for race's/traveling to race's:) So last night I opted for 2 15min. interval sessions on our stepper and it kicked my ass....I wore layers, and was huffing and puffing and sweating bullets within 5 mins on level 13. Climbing and going nowhere, riding and going nowhere....what the hell is wrong with us:) Riding this afternoon....most likely late....start around 5pm....out for my 1.5hr loop then home to chow:) Back on the stepper Wed., then a light spin on Thursday & Friday. Saturday we ride a Hundy....looks like a high of 30's with SW wind....riding a new route.....found here....still trying to figure these fucking mappy things out.....route slip is under which sucks cause they gave you thee option of a route slip turn for turn....I can't seem to find that goodie on google maps.....anyone?

Talked today to IA Bev. told me the first for sure and they would have some here tomorrow. After reading this seems to sound like BS, I went to a show last week for IA Bev and said Sept. called today and was told by the first, the driver said tomorrow. Wooly's.....we are getting a good amount of interest in the wooly jersey's....pricing will most likely be under $70 bones.....there is a $14 dollar fee per jersey for the embroydering on top of the cost of the jersey.....more too come as I hear from Chad at Portland Cycle Wear.

No commuting this morning was going to ride with Teri today....but we bailed due too thunderstorms coming/ 45mph gust of wind for this afternoon and the big one.....Teri took a tumble yesterday with Izzy in her hands....upon keeping Izzy safe.....Teri didn't have a free hand to break her fall, her right leg took the brunt of it....right on top of the quad. Teri's leg swelled up and bruised immediately.....looks nasty and painful:( Saving ourselves for Sat. morning.

Need too start me packing tonight, change the Monkey back to a single, lights are charged....once again thank you Rob....you'll see me coming.....have a head trip extreme with 2 batteries and a light in motion bar mounted light also...both HID systems:) Plenty of Hammer and Honey Stinger products to rock me through the night....are earpieces with hardcore music allowed???....A sixer of Fat Squirrel Nut Brown Ale....guess I have to sneak that in:) Gonna be awesome to finally throw down on the Ergon Sweetness in a killing fashion. Have to thank Frank for the info on the flooring....we've decided that the espresso....will rock the living room area nicely

purdy sure that the living room floor is no better then the dinning room....the guy whom lived here before us had 2 Mastiffs. Dinning room first then the living room....yes I'm sure it would be beneficial to knock it out in one, but my time won't allow it or I should say I don't want to do it that way. Rob should have me Race Rig done in a couple weeks or around then....so the Monkey and I will be tearing it up at 12hrs of Branched Oak...rain or shine....the forecast is calling for 50% today, 50% for tomorrow, and 40% for Saturday...but I've been assured by CVO that these trails drain well.....HHHMMMMM where have I heard that before:) Last Saturday before the virus kick'd me ass I started a house project...

this is our dinning room with carpet....who in their right mind puts carpet in a dinning room....ah yes....those that don't eat in the damn thing:)

carpet now gone....create more work....but nothing I can't handle....another thing....carpet layers....WTF!!.....do you bring you children with you to the job site.....there had to be 800 staples in the whole area...that blew ass.....the plan was to sand it out on Sunday but obviously that didn't fly.....soon....yes soon I'll get it done....then we'll have to paint.....never ending....no shit there:)
