Squirrely Ride Home Yesterday:)

stopped for a safety break @ 6th Ave & I-80/35..

had to crawl up and hang out with thee pigeons too get out of thee wind.....

this little connector hooks up to the Niel Smith trail off of Morning Star Drive...just below Sterlings house....it also just happens to be where the city stops plowing the black label at thee creek bridge....anyone know the name of that creek?

my commute was great on the more traveled roads....but thee inner city streets were a fucking skating rink....I managed to stay up and smile thee whole way....

5 Bald Eagles on the river @ MLK...of course my cheapy camera could do no justice to their bueaty...

Damn...... I'm not as fat as I thought I was. A very nippley morning commute, one can't complain about that in the middle of July:) Typical commute....met Jason at the tressel for some safety talk...then high tailed it to work......Chica Ride tonight tell your ladies to get out and mingle with their fat tires:) 6pm Ashworth Pool parking lot. Thats all I have.....why do gears have to be so damn fun:)?

before I ran into Jason, before Jason had his mechanical....busted chain....we cobbled it back so he could pussy foot it too work....

Commuting..Starting Thee Day Right

I was pleasantly surprized that I only had to dismount for one tree on the black label this morning....tree was in between Urbandale Ave & 30th street

Jasons new Redline...yeah he bought it from the chain store, but we understand that some of us mates have a budget/want it right now....its all good my brutha your out there doing it.....sweating your ass off killing dreams of those whom sit on their asses eating potato chips, slugging brews in the comfort of their AC....Killing Dreams and I love it:)

Friday morning I'll be hitting Seven Oaks up for a ride with brutha CVO....from the Lincoln sceen, we'll be riding around 6:30am....YOU KNOW YOU WANT SOME...a loop or two then off too work. Saturday Teri and I will be hitting Seven Oaks up again....I would say around 8am on this ride....get yer asses out for a spin with us:) Then Sunday I'll be throwing down at Seven Oaks for the XC race......going to see how my untrained ass stacks up against the Experts on me favorite local trail...hoping not too puke:) More news on Iowas 24 hr race....they have thrown in a 12hr race also.....how fucking cool is that.....Kyle, Ron....and the rest of you mates....ya'll kick ass:)!!

even with this nice lane for us commuters....the fucking big trucks still hug the white line. The DOT should paint some bikes in these lanes every 1/4 mile or so to remind those ignoirant bastards....or we could just bike around and paint ourselves....renegade ninja style:)

We have a couple demo Ruby Experts at the shop....today Teri road one of them in....carbon goodness....now she'll probably want to up grade:) Thats alright she would deserve it.

Our fallen brothers are expected to make full recoveries....please keep them in your thoughts.

Riding Bikes Weekend Photo Dump

Friday's commute home took me downtown for a stop at El Bait Shop for some fine crafted beer before heading the rest of the way home with Steve. I had a couple of Z Smoked Lagers from the Fort Collins Brewery....all I can say is I thought they were damn delicious....being a country kid....I've always said if you smoke it....it has to be good:).....I mean have you ever tried smoked corn.....Oh Yah....good shit:)

Supper Sammy stopped by for a couple New Castles before heading to the Wine festivities downtown....

Saturday....Sammy, Teri and I road down too Summerset Lakes to hit up the RIVERSIDE trail. Twas a killer day to get some sun and miles under the ole' fat ass:) Met up with the Monk and his cooler of Fat Tire & PBR:)Justin you truly are a saint:) We hit up some loops ( they are short right now, but hey...thats how it starts ), with some more beers....then another loop so we could start the ride back home

Cemeteries are so damn cool....I used to be a Vault Man back when I first graduated high school....I was the guy that set up the tent and chairs in the cemetery....then I put the deceased into their finial resting place and went home....purdy cool ehy:)

Not finished yet....but if you posses some skillz you don't have to dismount to get across.....purdy much like the ole' bridges of Boy Scout Trail....3 ft. up and on....4 ft. gap to the trail....sawheat! I'm sure this will be ridealbe for all when we ride here again.

So here is where things got fun....and funny.....and childish...Teri Sue had a flat as soon as we started back.....there just happen to be a abandon house up the road with some shade trees....so we boogied there for the change....while Teri was changing here tire Sammy and I were roaming the run down acreage like little kids....in side the garage we found some old golf clubs and lots of balls....hhhmmm....come to find out Sammy and I suck at golf.....I couldn't get the ball off the ground and Sammy has a wicked slice to the right:)....

after running out of balls we decided to finish off the few windows that hadn't been busted out by the high school kids that stop here to party (I'm assuming here).....damn grown up kids:) If Sammy had to rely on his ability to throw a rock and kill something......he would most likely die...Ended up with 56 miles from Teri and I's door for the out and back route with a ride time of 4:25:04.


This mornings commute....Johnny and I hit up Targhetto from Merle Hay and QT....made it all the way through.....but it needs lots of work in the form of little debree hanging all over the trail....still a damn fine morning though:)
