Custom Bike Chains....

Saw this mates set up at the Big Wheel Rally and was seriously intrigued by this simple yet effective idea of his or for all I know someone elses:) Expect a How To picture show and review in the up coming few days. To simple and cheap to not try....simply keep a piece of extra chain/pliers with you for unexpected breaks/chain repair....hot damn!
Teri and I stopped by the Northern trail head of Targhetto on the way home yesterday to check snow too ice foot hold ratio's...Teri gave the thumbs up too the non slippage under foot placement...so tonight its a go for a run up to Fish Camp and back.....want some? We'll be there @3pm:)

Peace

Looks pretty simple to make with the connection point at the outer loop being the only thing you could play much with. Only problem I could see if they'll pretty much have to be built specifically for a certain set of tires since you'll want to make them fit tight by slipping over the tire while it's deflated and then airing it back up. Have fun!

Keep it all-bike and use old chain sections. Thread the cable through the empty eye of an outer link? Alittle more beefy maybe than the chain shown. Also, go to www.bikerodnkustom and scope out some of the sidecars! Nukin Futs! Also, look at the Amsterdam coverage while you're at it. Later! Get that Motobecane running yet?
