Iowa Gravel

Great ride yesterday...22 miles in a couple hrs....the wind was killer....good Trans Iowa training riding into the wind. If I remember correctly the first year had incrediable head winds....better to train into that shit and ride the looser gravel instead of the "good line"....train in the worse....hope for the best....right:) Still not sure of what I'll be riding on the TI....the Traveler is really growing on me...the WTB Cross Wolfs are riding the loose shit just fine....44x18....for that side of the state may not be the right gear....I'll keep training with it around here...for now...then I'll put a 20 on and see what I think.

BOONEVILLE GRAVEL GRINDER TOMORROW:
MEET AT MY PLACE 1208 WALNUT ST, WE LEAVE AT 2:30, 2.5 HRS OF RIDING, BRING LIGHTS AS IT MAY BE GETTING DARK BY THE TIME WE GET BACK TO THE CITY. 490-6239.

Peace

i agree on the bike selection, at least for now. that old, cold, rolled steel is a good thing. love my ralph, my mr. moto, all those low-tech rides. riding the loose rock is excellent, as well. hopefully, our schedules will cross, B. thursdays are always out, but we'll get it! have fun.
