Noon hike, 6min drive from the day job

Last Friday afternoon I went to hike 4 Mile Greenbelt just on the outskirts of Berwick. It has qaud trail through it....soon I'll be riding my bike in there:) Just a mere 20min bike ride from the day job! 67acres:) Friday evening I road the fixie down town to the Bike Collective work day. I was early so I stopped to throw back a bud tall boy and work on my backwards riding. 7th street bridge provided good lighting and a place to sit my beer:) I ended up getting 30ft. or so 7 or 8 times...my best by far. After my beer was empty I bolted to the Collective to meet the rest of the crew. 2.5hrs later and we had polished off a case of Fat Tire worked on 6 bikes...only 2 of them getting finished but its a start. Just before leaving Grahm pulls out a goody box....one of the items....a brand new TI 29r fork:) I wasn't leaving without it.....15hrs of volunteer time and its yours he say's....HELL YES I SAY!

Sammy, Carl, and Ryan working hard on that sweet race bike

its midnight, Sammy and I stop for one last beer on WWP bridge:)

Saturday Teri and I done house duties...complete rearrange of the living room...change is always good. To bed early for an early wake up call to ride out too Cummings Tap for the CIRREM race on Sunday morning which I was sure not many would show up with the crappy conditions. The ride out was wet, my gloves and feet wear where soaked by the time I arrived. Surprisingly people were showing up to race in this shit. I made the decision of not racing....saving myself for this weekends 6hr race @ Smithvilles Bone Bender. I stay long enough to send everyone on there merry wet way and ride home. By the time I arrived at the damn golf course my hands were numb from the wet, windy cold. I stopped and put my dry wool socks over my gloves in attempt to bring life back into them. It worked, and I made it home...VERY HAPPY I BAILED ON THE RACE! A couple hrs went by so I loaded up the girls and we went back out to see whom was still suffering. It was 12:30pm when we pulled back into Cummings. At that time Julie was headed out to pick up some very cold riders whom pulled the plug at the halfway point. All I can say is....ALL that toed the line that morning...you have much respect from me. I think 10 ended up finishing...we had some beers and waited for the BACONATOR to get done so we could try it. A great time looked to be had even with the shitty conditions.

Peace

What brand ti fork is it? That would be a nice light weight score for the Selma for sure!

I Think the case of fat tire lowered the bike repair output the only good way to fix that is more people and more beer. Great working with you guys let me know the next time your going down and I'll bring some beer.

the fork has no stamp of any kind so I don't really know the brand:)

I see you found the trails in my stompin' ground. Those trails are usually muddy as hell with just a slight bit of rain, but better than nothing.

What was the plastics question you had a couple weeks back?
