Saturday's 60 degree 3hr tour to Winterset and back

Teri, Izzy and I got back to town to late for me to join the BRR ride so I opted for a solo route over to Winterset on roads Vanderlune has talked about to me for years. Basically took R45 to G14 to Winterset and back, saw a Robinson brutha out along with Lippold and one other mate I didn't know. Awesome roads for a very nice ride. I made it 35 days before breaking in and having some beers with my family on Friday....purdy good for me I'd say. Now to start over:)

Peace

That G14 route to Winterset is great. It's always got some hills and most of the time you're going to be working a headwind along that route as the south winds fire up.

Wow, 60 degrees! No wonder there's no snow down there. It was 35 and sunny up here and our snow is melting like crazy. I got out for a slow 15 miles of blacktop and gravel. Rock on!!!!

Good to here that someone got out on a ride. I had the gf's sister's wedding this weekend. Talk about sort of losing out on Friday and Saturday. I made it out this morning for about 2 hours. 32F just doesn't feel like 55F. Good to here you haven't quit altogether. Moderation is hard but good. Keep hittin' it.

I'm hoping the weather sticks around to ride the full loop next weekend. Probably do it on the cross bike and hammer it as much as possible. Lemme know if you're interested.
