Went to a little dirty meeting last night at Carribou Coffee...talked PUMP TRACK smack for awhile. Des Moines will have one with in 2yrs I'd venture to guess. I would also say Ewing Park might be the place. It was an AR ride for the day so the fixie was broke out for the jaunt. After the meeting we...Chad, Sammy, Justin and Ryan hit up Zimm's for a couple of beers. Then it was ride home with freezing streets, a 2 beer buzz on a brakeless fixie. Good thing I'm a seasoned rider at this type of training:) Made it home with only one sketchy slide:) 3hrs on my plate this afternoon, taking the 420 Express out for some city streets, shoulders, and maybe Targhetto:) I'm going to attempt Targhetto but if its to wet I'm bailing....cause I think the Des Moines is most likely out some where in there:( The above photo was brought out for all of us going to Arkansas at the end of March....its a sweet piece of the Womble Trail. Damn that looks sweet. I'm bummed we can't make it. Hopefully Bone Bender is somewhere close to being that nice.
Ooo, Ooo I wanna go. Seriously, we're going to have to talk driving arrangements now that the McCutch had to bail. I was always planning on driving, but my car will only seat 4 comfortably and by the latest count there's 5 going. Looks like someone is getting strapped to the roof, holding their bike.
I doubt that I can go, but what are the dates and details?
March 26th - 29th. Leaving early on the 26th, come back on the 29th. Camping, riding, beer drinking, fire jumping...I'm nominating Corey for this "He's Hardcore" like that:) Just a great time with like minded souls.
