%$$#%^#&^$&!!

This is how we got home yesterday:) Not even a mile from work and Teri busted her chain....WTF! Back too work so we could take the cube van home...I wasn't going to push our luck anymore for the day. Mondays riding truely sucked....I was not happy at all on the bike. Lets hope todays commute home will be muey better:) Seems some local mates are jonesing for some dirt around here....I hate too break the news to these young bucks but its gonna be awhile before we're riding dirt in Des Moines. Time to round up a weekend possee for a dirty trip. 3hr drive time tops....anyone out there have dry dirt 3 hrs from Des Moines?

Peace

ahhh, that sucks. after that first time with you, I started carrying a chain tool. then sure enough had to use it to get home again that time a month or so ago. the Y is open, so I could shower today after the ride... my co-workers appreciate it I'm sure. stay safe my friend.

I think there's dry dirt out by Council Bluffs, but that's probably about as close as it gets. We could just grab a dirty century instead...

Of course I'll have to wait at least a week or so until work stops kicking my ass and some time opens back up.

Dry dirt in IA, Ha! You'd better go West. Decorah has been underwater for a week.

I was thinking the same thing about road trippin' it. I was thinking Lebanon Hills and Murphy Hanrehan around the Twin Cities. Never been to either one, but read good things about both. You can check out recent trail conditions at www.morcmtb.org. Let me know.

contrary to popular belief the decorah trails are rideable, and the show will go on! stop on by to check it out this weekend dg.

Poncha race is Saturday and Landahl is Sunday. I rode Swanson last night and it was fine. Go West, it's all good. Check my blog later, I'll have some pics up.

Thanks Troy! Minneapolis has good dirt right now also....2 hrs to Omaha though and we could hit 3 trails in one day there.

Peace

Yea, you could hit Swanson, Platte, Tranq, and Jewel. Manawa is under water and L&C is no longer a loop. Bring lots of bug spray and give me a shout if you come out.

I'm not sure how far Poncha is from you but I hear the trails are in Prime condition right now.

I'd be up for NE too. Isn't Platte a good distance from those others? Poncha is a ways north from Omaha, if I recall correctly. I figure about 3 hours to Minn vs. 2 to Omaha, no big difference there, so its the trail quality and condition that's most important. I could take 2 or 3 besides me, depending if Corey wants to go.

although counterintuitive, decorah trails have never been better. very fast.
