Lots of deer out this morning, Des Moines river is very high, no rain, fenders rock, dry bags are even cooler, saw a mink running the river bank off thee Trestle bridge, took a good safety break...alone, new short cut route makes the commute 3.5 miles less then usual, found
this old Coast King 10spd laying in the woods off of NW 42nd & Morning Star Dr., thought about the Bike Collective and things fixed, rolled by another old strip club...do you know the name?
6th Ave & NW 42nd, 6th Ave in the morning heading north is a great road to commute, Geese, Mud Ducks, and Red Wing Black birds at the marsh, I like the Red Wing Black birds song:) Peaceful commute...ah yeah:)
Don't forget about Iowa's first Cycling Radio Talk Show, with none other then thee local cycling legend Reverend Kim West asking and answering thee questions 1460 am radio & 6pm Sunday nights.

Yup...remember the very tall circled booths:) Another place I got kicked out of for dancing across the stage....I don't know why they frowned upon that and dancing down the whole length of the bar too Violet Phems "Why can't I just get":0 Very good times.

Back in the days of college we used to hit em all up in one night. Grapevine, BJ's, Outer Limits, Shakers and then the Cave. We got kicked out of the Cave one night for harassing girls on amateur night. Good times for sure.
