Thee Breakdown..

Prerace Fat Tire's with the Lincoln Wreching Crew

Started the race purdy much back of the mid pack runners as my fitness is lacking so I'm racing into it, I shook the prerace Fat Tire up a little and burped a bubble as I grabbed me bike, another racer see's it and we start too laugh. On the bike tooling along the first laps cluster, first open field I start passing and thining the heard. Into the rocky sections...chain comes off 5 times, I see Dennis on the side with the first of many flats. Lap 2...I'm told I'm in 5th so I don't stop too fix thee chain issue only hope for the best. Failed to get it. Catch up to Andy, only too start the chain reaction shit again...another 4 times off the bike. Lap 3 I stop to fix chain in the pit area...loose a few spots...back on the bike and rolling, gain spots back. The smell of weed lingers in the air on the rocky sections but I see no one:) The start of lap 4, I see Andy has pitted...sawheat another spot up, wait...wait is that Josh (Badger Team Mate) the only other ssingle man in front of me....he's pitted too....sawheat I roll through with a new love for the beating I'm taking. I had been chasing those two fools since my first pit, they being in the same place on the switchbacks but I not being able to quite reel them in...now in 2nd or 3rd ...I better step it up a notch. I fly up the first climb, smoke the flat field section like a fucking track dog after a jack rabbit, blow into the rocky sections like they are hot fudge sundays, I'm feeling like a frieght train running 90 on rails...thanks to the sweet Badger I'm slaying trial like a frothing mad man...then the rear tire goes flat...and guess who doesn't have a fucking thing with him:) Bail and run biatch...insert many cuss words here while running....then a 29r mate stops to give me his goods as we're around 4miles from the pit area. Fixing me flat guess who comes by....yup Josh and Andy both asking if I'm good. One CO2 isn't enough air but it beats walking...I'm off and riding agian...knowing I have to take it easy to make it back to the pits for more air. Not a mile more past where I had the flat I feel the rear getting really loose...damn it another one, with 3 or so miles to go I say fuck it and ride standing the rest of the way in. Time for another Fat Tire, and time to change me flat tire:) Drink me beer, change me flat and back out again. Lap 5 goes by, lap 6 and I'm thinking I'll stop when done.. roll into the pit area at 5:22 and ask where I'm at....6 mates infront of you....well shit...just as well go back out for lap 7. Just past the pit I see Speacialized Marko downing beers with the Lincoln mates...I stop and ask for one....get a couple of swigs in and here comes Sydney another Badger Teamate...shit I've got to go. With lap 7 in the books around 6:13 pm, and Sydney coming in at 6:19 this girl can rock a bike I can't wait to see her results for this year. I kept yelling at her when I would catch a glimps of her speedy self...it our last lap...its our last lap. Those words would make anyone doing the 6hr smile. Thats it, done....now wheres me Fat Tire at:) 7th place. Not bad for a lush:) Pics coming soon. Great job too Sydney with the 6hr win, great job too Josh for a second place on a sinlge, and great job too Andy for his 3rd place.

Peace

Nice job Squirrel, Joe H. called me on Saturday and told me you were rocking. Congrats on a great start to the season. Bet it felt good to get out on some dirt after riding in the snow and ice for so damn long.

good job this weekend buddy.

too bad we were rushed for time the whole day, would have been cool to have been able to sit back and chill a bit..

oh well, it's early in the season, and in two weeks we'll have plenty of chill time...

Good job Squirrely, only wish I could attend in two weeks - Landahl got me fired up. Never thought I'd be smiling like that after 6 hours

Nice job Squirrel. I don't recall seeing out on the course. I do remember seeing you in the pits drinkin' beer. That's awesome.

That place is a lot of fun. Can't wait to ride it again.

Sounds like you're enjoying the new ride. Congrats, that ride is sweet.
