Flip The Switch...

On yesterday afternoons ride the "flipping of the switch" desicion was made...time to start training....ya know following some sort of regimen.....keeping track of my ride time/milage.....drinking less.....eating less:)/better....and the rest of the crap one has to do too get fit enough for the finish of TI and other ultra endurance races. With the Ouachita Challenge up first on the list and guys like ELK, Danno..last 2yrs winner of the singles cat, and EnduroSnob on the list of single mates coming to throw down...I really need to start too get me shit together kiddies:)

What does this mean.....means that damn trainer is going to get used sooner than thought....the stair stepper will become a close freind, after I pick Captain "STAIR MASTER HIMSELF" Kerkove's brain about some sort of regimen. I will need to stick to a lifting plan which I'm completely terrible at.....I'm good for around 3 weeks then I'm bored as hell with it. Simply just need to keep focused on the change in race selection for the year....good by cross country.....hello long distance suffering:)!! Pace, pace, pace, pace, pace, repeat......

Didn't make it to Martensdale sortta bailed on that idea with the heavey winds...decided to head out 10 miles then turn around and head to the dirt. The Traveler with its 44x18 made the legs hurt in the wind and single track.....ran into Mr. Hollander right after I turned around....spent the rest of the ride with him....hooked the dirty ribbons loop up once back into Water Works...split me one New Castle with him at the creek crossing heading too Raccoon River Park via the back way.....lucky bastard:)....we couldn't cross.....last weeks heavey rain blew the beaver dam out and opened up the wideth on the crossing.....damn it....back track to the gravel road....hit RRP.....head home....as it starts to flurry....SAWHEAT!! Ended up with 25.53 in 2hrs....was looking for 30....but pussed out....

Riding this afternoon....not gravel though....heading to the North parking lot of Targhetto Trail....this is the one off of NW 66th not the north lot of Targhetto...I had to put that in there Jeff:)...out for a couple hours then done...490-6239....gonna be a cold one today dress warm and cozy:)

Peace

brian--
i've got a nifty little weight plan i can help you with. depends on what cheap resources you have available, but it will get you through anything... takes between 30 and 45 minutes three times a week.

gotta maximize those hours in the saddle.

eat less, for me I have to concentrate on eating as much as possible. otherwise I loose weight.

drink less, well, maybe a little.
mostly thicker, darker stuff...

maybe this year I will try to do some lifting, maybe more of a stretching routine....

but I know how you feal, anyting I start out doing, ends up dieing off.

cept for riding, always seem to find time to do that...

4 days down, 26 left to go
