Signs of Rubbing....

These tires were brand new with only one ride on them before putting the chains on. They now have chain wear on the welded link sidewall....looking to dip them in that shit for plier handles when I remember what the hell it is. So for now duck tape will be the first attempt at solving the problem. May even shorten up the chains overall length....oh the options:)

DISCLAIMER: This product is still in its testing phase!

Mark Alker owner of this fine UK rag sent me a copy along with a photo of his cycling ink for the collection. Plenty of reading time today:) Hope you all have a great and safe New Years Eve!

Peace

Plasti-dip http://www.thehardwarecity.com/?sku=4481453 is what you're looking for. Definitely get something on there soon. Don't want to see those tires going south quite so soon.

Perfect Rick! Thats exactly what I wanted....yeah don't want to fuck up the new treads:) Looks like I'll be spraying and rotating the chains for the next run! By the way that ham is damn good bro.

Peace

Glad you liked the ham. We had it for dinner again last night and are just about sick of the leftovers! Between that and a batch of chili it's been leftovers noon and night for a week...

That dip stuff is something we used to sell at the hardware store I worked at in high school. Pretty cool stuff, but messy. Probably want to tape off the section of chain you don't want coated.

This stuff should be good, you can also try coating the chains with it. The road side will wear down to metal, but the side that contacts the tire should remain rubberized and should keep the wear down to a minimum.... although I think duct tape would score high for ghetto style points.... keep us posted

I'm not patient enough for careful & tapping....so coating the whole chain sounds like the way to go....Thanks FatBob!

Make sure your dip is black so you look Pro. If you were Maharry, it should be pink. :)

You can get it red, yellow, or white maybe if you mix them you could get pink...

The spray stuff is weak compared to the dip. Dip is way more durable.
