Left work yesterday at 1pm, on the Monkey by 2:30. Hit Denmans, then Squirrels Nest.... saw a dude camping right off the trail by the first bridge, talked to him for a minute or two then boogied over too Rhythm.
Bailed over the tressel bridge but not before taking this photo for Dennis at the Fixed Gear Gallery seems they are getting into public bike art, bike tattoos, vintage bike goods, and bike graffiti. Down the pavetrail to Water Works, over to the Great Western trail to SW 46th street the gravel road beside the airport. Taking the back way to a forbidden area. SW 46th to SW McKinley Ave...on my way up McKinley I came across a freegan cooler.....
I mean what the hell....zippers worked, no holes, just sun faded and no BEER...that was ok though I was packing 2 New Castles. I stopped to load it up in the camelback, because one never knows, then proceeded to me destination for a beer. Me bevey destination would be the farthest northern point on the BW hiking trail, a easy 30min hike from the parking lot or a 5min blur by bike.....
Look familar to anyone??? This is the last of the old "No Bikes Allowed" signs that used too litter the trail. Notice the nice fall line trail...hence the blur of a ride:)
Yup made it to the bottom safely...but shaken:) I stayed a very short time as not to get seen...1 beer then boogie up the climb and out. After getting out I thought I would just roll down 63rd towards home and check out this wall ride I had seen. Well its long and high...I'm going to have to try it:), its right behind Rookies. Stopped by Homeless Gregs place to finish me 2nd bevey, bs'd it a bit then off for home to give Teri a much needed back rub. Heading out again this afternoon, call if ya want in:)
Peace

Squirrel - you gotta take this boy through Browns Woods on a poacher ride sometime soon. I can't believe I've ridden trail here for 5 yrs and never set foot in that place. Screw those highskrewl teachers who don't want us there, I'm ready to run if need be!!

Ya know...the spray painted bike with anarchy signs for wheels is actually kinda cool.
I had my five year old on the bike the other day
I was riding my long board
he and his friends were on their bikes
as I was rounding up the little rascals
I asked my son to stay in an area off the pavement
told him he could ride a 30 yard stretch of single track
he went towards the woods
I just wanted to have him go up and back leading to the woods
when I got back he was almost crying
as he thought I told him to ride past the sign that says NO BIKES
daddy would never tell his son to ride past that sign
