Holy shit kiddies that was the wildest damn rain strom I've ever been in. I made it too the Outer Limits Titty Bar before the sprinkles started to come down, pulled over and well...... you know put me shit in ziplocks. Made it about another mile before all hell broke loose. Between the wind and mean ass rain I'm sure those that were driving could barely see me the last mile coming into work off of Oralabor. I must say that I was a bit nervous of getting hit so I was looking behind me alot planning my "OUT ROUTE" til I made it to Creekveiw Drive and could ride the path the rest of the way in.
You can't tell by this crappy photo that I'm soaked to the bone, I think I have some crud on the lens of me camera.
Last nights Taco Ride....I mean boozen ride was a hoot. We tried to ride Denmans but it turned up being too wet, Sammy, Ryan, and I bailed at Little Italy and the rest of the guys that where ahead of us rode the whole damn thing. We (3 bailers) waited by the tracks next to Squirrels Nest drinking our beers we brought from the shop thinking the other guys would bail out soon enough.
yup thats mud on Sammy's beer:)
after our beers where gone, Mike rolled up to finish out the ride with us via some pavetrail with beer stops along the way. We found the rest of the group waiting for us at the end of Denmans......whoops:) Picked them up and headed towards the Country Club in West Des Moines. Stopping at Caseys for out next round of carb loading.
mates have'n a good time
after getting our carb flasks all loaded up we headed to a near by park to drink'um down:)
Sammy and I:) Yup.... pimping the new Pro Series Racing Jackets with a 40oz of bud heavy:)
Now we're off and riding again and I decide for us to hit our winter pave loop so we can get heading back for Tacos before the kitchen closes at 9pm. Some where out there I lost the whole group......WTF.....where'd everybody go?? Now out by Jordan Creek Mall I figure they turned on Ashworth, I had went further on to EP True so we'd all meet up again soon.....I thought. Crossing 60th I see Mike and only Mike...WTF....better get on the phone. I call Sammy...he and Ryan are alone on Ashworth and they have no idea where Jeff K. and John are. We meet at 50th and Ashworth, although Mike went on to Water Works to get his rig. Now its just Sammy, Ryan and I....we hit the little piece of single track by Ryans house then hit Hy-Vee for a sixer of Retro Red for the nights finial beer stop by Raccoon River Park. Ryan wanted some type of green bottled beer but I pouted that I can not drink green bottled beer....I have a phobia that bad beer is put into green bottles. Thanks for buying the Retro bro:) Ryan bolted after a beer, leaving Sammy and I with the rest. Sammy and I were going to Giffs for Tacos, but at the last moment changed our minds for another beer in me back yard to end the night of riding. All in all I ended up with 26 miles and many beers in me belly:)

Pilsner Urquell is not a bad beer, despite its green bottle.
That said, the Retro Red was good, too.
Beer = good.
The last time I drank Green Beer, (St. Patrick's Day in College), I paid dearly that night with lots of green puke everywhere. I must concur, drinking green beer will be a sight you'll not see from me ever again.
Petey you must have read this after last nights crit.....green "bottles" with beer in them suck:).....green beer too:)
Peace
green is the new pink!
