Oh my it feels good to ride the bike again, yes I know I've said it before. Went urban for a couple hrs yesterday, riding by some of the old training grounds. When I first started riding here in Dead Moines in 96' I haveth no skills. But I learned quickly. Welcome to the wall of ties, once you learn to clear this, there aren't many logs you won't be able to clean.
"The Wall" this row of ties goes from 1 high and progresses (2,3,etc.) up to what you see at 4.5 to 5 ties high. Master Johnny C and Chad Vanderlune were the first riding buddies that I met in Dead Moines in 96'. The first time we road together we ended up here. Johnny C was cleaning the 5 high ties like a walk in the park, after seeing this and not be able to do it the game of study was on. The next day I spent 4 or 5 hours in this parking lot riding the wall, failing, and falling down alot but I didn't leave until I could clean the 5 high ties. Needless to say I had worn a trail through the grass I had circled so many times that afternoon. Bottom line you want it bad enough you'll get it.
Suckers:)
Before I got sick last week Wild Bill and I did some urbana, we came along this freshly and what I presume to be illigal single track in a certain park. Here is a shot of the entrance, know where its at? I'll post another pic. that will most likly give the location away later today.
Its single track, and goes quite aways back although the builder needs some tips, permission would be cool too.
Gotta go ride now before the Stork Fair at Mercey today.
Peace
